As usual, we end the week with a bang! A big gun battle at Kelly's sends Sonny and Logan to the hospital, Liz goes into early labor and Carly and Jacks join the mile-high club. (Oh yes, oh yes...)And did I forget that Skye is now on to Alcazar? Lots to tell!
The curtain rises in Port Charles with a recap from Thursday. Guns are going off like gangbusters in Kelly's cellar. Logan and Coop, who are upstairs, draw their guns and race downstairs to get into the action.
Liz, who is on-the-job at GH, runs into Lucky at the nurses' station--and promptly doubles over while having a contraction.
And lest we forget, Carly and Jacks are in the middle of their dinner-date in Montreal. Jacks has just finished giving her a new engagement ring and re-proposing (is that kinda like re-gifting?) while mayhem is swirling around the happy couple.
Back to the guns. Sonny and Jason are battling Alcazar's men in Kelly's basement. It seems like they are outmatched and things don't look good--until Coop and Logan rush in.
Most of Alkie's men are killed off--with the exception of one, which could lead to potentially dire consequences as we shall soon see.
Coop and Logan check to see how everyone upstairs is doing--but one of Alkie's men sneaks up and takes Maxie hostage at gunpoint. Coop is able to save her by killing the thug, (doing it in front of Mack, I might add), but Maxie escapes with blood in her hair.
Sonny is not so lucky. He's taken to GH with a head injury and Jason tells Spinelli to ride with him in the ambulance to make sure that he doesn't say anything incriminating.
Coop races to GH after Mack lets him go to be with Logan, who's waiting to be taken to the OR to be operated on for his leg wound. Logan gives him a clue, saying he wanted his father to know, but loses consciousness before he can tell Coop who that is. Any bets that it's Scott?
On to Liz. What better place to go into early labor than the hospital, right? She and Lucky are whisked into an exam room, where Kelly puts the baby through a round of tests. Things are looking good, and Kelly tells the couple that all systems are go--and even if the baby is born early it would survive. Liz decides however to take medication that would stop the contractions to give the baby a better chance.
Carly and Jacks are on his private jet coming home from Montreal, when they decide to get busy. Yep, they did do the horizontal mambo at 30,000 feet and are now charter members of the mile-high club! Good thing it was a private jet! They finish and are getting dressed just as they start their descent into Port C, when the Captain makes an announcement apologizing about the turbulence!!
Skye, on the other hand, is devastated to realize that Alcazar has been faking his brain injuries, as she overhears him planning the hit on Sonny and Jason.
He does come clean with her and tells her that he did it to protect her and Lila Rae, but Skye isn't having any of it. Her days as a Crime Boss finished, she runs into Rick at GH and tells him that she will cooperate fully in his campaign against Alcazar.
And lastly, Sam and "Everyday Heroes". She's in the middle of her photo shoot at the Metrocourt when she gets the news of the gunbattle at Kelly's. She races to GH for news of Jason and is followed by Amelia, who's not happy that Sam isn't 100 percent committed to the show.
Amelia also goes to GH and has rather an interesting exchange with Stan, who's not happy when she says that she's going to have to look into getting another host if Sam can't commit fully.
Stan talks about the class struggle and Amelia says "hey, I'm only selling toothpaste..." And with that, we are going to have to wait till Monday to see what happens next.
