General Hospital Update for Friday, 23-Aug-2013

It's Friday!! And you know what that means!! Happy Bombshell Friday!! More bombshells, all of the time. And did GH ever deliver today!
Let's see: the truth about Maxie's baby is finally starting to come out (at least for real baby daddy Spinelli); Derek/Julian is a bone marrow match for Danny--but the truth about Sam's father is coming out as a result (and real daddy/grandpa Derek/Julian will probably be the first to figure that one out) and Connie might be leaving Port Charles--sooner than we think and NOT the way she wanted!
Almost forgot to mention that Sonnie and Olivia came to terms with the real state of their relationship--while stuck in a GH elevator!
Starting off at GH, where the news of the day is that Maxie had her baby; and she's BEAUTIFUL!
The little girl is in the GH NICU, where she's getting to know whom we think are her real parents: Dante and Lulu.
But, and there's always a but in Soap Opera land, there's a twist. As we know, Maxie lost Dante and Lulu's baby this winter, but got pregnant by Spinelli soon after. (Remember New Year's Eve?)
So the upshot is, Maxie and Spinelli are the biological parents and of course, Ellie had to tell Spinelli that at GH!
How did Damien take the news? Not well! He was happy to hear that he had a daughter, but not so happy to know that Ellie has been keeping the news from him all this time!
Put it this way, it got so loud outside of the NICU between him and Ellie that Dante and Lulu came out, asking what the matter was!! (And do I feel sorry for them....)
On to other Baby Daddies....Sam and Alexis ran into Derek/Julian at GH, who is a bone marrow match for Danny.
He's stunned that he's a donor, and Alexis tells him that it can happen in 1 in 50,000 cases between unrelated people--and he must be that case!
Anyway, Derek/Julian and Alexis spoke privately and Alexis shared what little she knew of Sam's father--how he was named Julian and she was conceived in a one-night stand in New Hampshire.
You could see the wheels turning in Derek/Julian's brain, so I know he's starting to put it together: HE is Sam's father!
Connie, Connie, Connie, we hardly knew you! And from the looks of things, we might never get that chance!
She is in her office at Crimson when a drunk AJ,waving a gun, storms in.
AJ blames Connie for ruining his life. Why? Because she ran the Kiki story in the Port Charles Sun, among other things.
Anyway, he's holding a gun to her head and Connie has the smarts to dial Sonny on her cell while this is going on, so he can hear it.
Sonny, however, is otherwise occupied, as he's freaking out because he's stuck in a GH elevator with Liv! He's trying to call her at the same time.
Note to self: when being held at gunpoint, don't EVER call anyone on speaker, as it can backfire!!
AJ heard Sonny's call to Connie and officially went over the deep end.
After Sonny and Liv got out of the elevator (where they both agreed that Sonny loved Connie), Sonny went over to Crimson, where he saw a dying Connie lying on the floor, shot in the chest!!
In the meantime, Liv is still on the elevator, and now sees a torrent of blood seeping in!
What's going to happen with Maxie's baby? Will Derek/Julian realize he is Danny's grandfather and Sam's father? Will Connie survive? Stay tuned!
