General Hospital Update for Friday, 6-Dec-2013

Tis the season!! For drama!! And we've got plenty!
What happened today? Maxie almost made the holidays tragic for her family, but thankfully somebody very special came to the rescue in the nick of time; Patrick is still torn between the women in his life: Robin and Sabrina; Ellie got an offer that is going to be hard to refuse, but how will it affect Maxie; Sonny gets the goods on Carlos Rivera, Carly and Franco get close, but Mommy Dearest might put a stop to it and of course, there were fireworks at AJ's murder trial, courtesy of Ava! Busy day!
Starting off with Maxie, she's at Georgie's grave. She has confided to her dead sister that she doesn't know if she can comply with the court order and not see Baby Connie for 6 months--so she has decided to end it all. She has planned an overdose of pills and has written a note to leave at Georgie's grave.
One problem: she can't go through with it, because Robin shows up in the nick of time! Maxie thinks that Robin is a ghost, and only believes she's alive when she slaps her!
Robin asks her to promise that she will never be brought to this dark place again and Maxie agrees.
And speaking of Connie and her father, Spinelli is excited for Ellie when she tells him that she has received a job offer to run her own lab--in Portland, Oregon!
She is planning on refusing, so she can stay in Port Charles with Spinelli, but he talks Ellie out of it.
Spinelli says that he and Connie can move with Ellie, but Ellie wisely asks how this will affect Maxie, who can't see Connie for 6 months!
On to Patrick, who clearly is torn between Sabrina and Robin. He has located Sabrina at Carlos' apartment and has gone over there to try and get her to leave.
Of course, Carlos gets in his face and things wind up with Patrick punching him in the nose and telling him to stay away from Sabrina!
And Carlos? Sean has done some checking and tells Sonny that Carlos is not related to Lily, Sonny's first wife, so he is fair game. (I have to admit that I was wondering that myself...)
Meanwhile at the MetroCourt, Carly and Franco are getting REALLY close! They are enjoying a lazy morning in bed, when Franco's phone rings: it's a local school who wants to interview him for an open Art teacher job!
What Franco doesn't know is, that the call he got was actually from Mommy Dearest, aka HEATHER!!
Franco leaves for what he thinks is his interview and Carly gets in the shower.
She's got a visitor: you guessed her! AND, Heather has let herself in with a fake hotel key!! What is she carrying? Only the Heather trademark: a steak knife!!
Finally, the Connie Falconeri murder trial, where AJ is on trial for his life.
Ava has testified and of course slams AJ, which doesn't endear her to Kiki. It's starting to look really bad for AJ--so bad that he demands to testify, even though his lawyer Diane told the judge she had no witnesses!
Will Carly survive Heather 2.0? Will AJ testify after all? Stay tuned!
