Tabby said that she was getting layers so we will be seeing a different side of Trina. I don’t think that will make ppl happy because some just want SM in the role. I see no difference in acting ability. Tabby cannot help how her voice is naturally. Aesthetically recast usually take some time for me. I got used to her in the role aesthetically so it s just easy for me. She’s improved since Rory’s death which I agree was bad. The paternity reveal was better. Hopefully she has a coach to help and a therapist. Outside of that she’s done a great job coming into a tense storyline and made the role hers.

I definitely see a difference in acting ability. SM is no Viola Davis, but she is stronger and has a slightly better range than TA. We are not going to agree on that and that's fine because it's subjective anyway. Adding layers to Trina is not the problem here--playing her totally different IS. It's not just about wanting SM back in the role, which I don't subscribe to is out of the question. Many daytime actors who were arguably popular in their roles, left and returned. Robin Strasser, James DePaiva, Michelle Stafford, Steve Burton. The list goes on. It's been years and my opinion has remained unchanged. She has gotten better but that still doesn't make her for this role.

Vinessa is my favorite Jordan. I love Tanisha but I did not like the one before her and it wasn’t her acting ability. She just didn’t feel like Jordan so I get it, for some Tabs won’t feel like Trina but I want her to stick around. SM isn’t coming back. So I’d rather have Trina versus no Trina. Luckily for me she’s mostly liked.

I liked ALL the actresses that played Jordan. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be Jordan #2.

I didn’t like MS’ Nina. I actually thought she was awful in the beginning acting wise, then she just started playing her as Phylis so to me she wasn’t some big loss,

Well, that's because she was crazy. She was in a coma for 20 years and this being a new character, the slate was clean to do whatever she wanted with the role as long as she used the character bio given by the writers. This happens a lot. Roger Howarth stated this when he was trying to figure out how he wanted to play Austin. Which is why I lean so heavily on TA for being a mediocre Trina. This is how SHE has elected to play her and it's rubbing many the wrong way. Sure. She absolutely has her supporters. But I feel like her critics are about neck and neck. MS played Nina as a bitch who was quick to check you and she had oodles of confidence. CW plays Nina like timidly quite often. She is a wonderful actress but it is a night and day difference to who Nina has been shown to be at her core and I am not even a MS fan. She's a good actress though. I HATE Phyllis with the fire of a thousand suns. But she was great as Nina Reeves.

Also, I don’t like the way LW plays Carly. SJB will always be Carly to me but o enjoyed Tamra (sp).

Everyone here knows I hate Carly with the first of a million suns but LW is actually my 2nd favorite Carly. My favorite was TB. SJB is wonderful and she did a spectacular job shaking up the canvas with a character that came in like a tornado. My criticism of her mostly stems from acting quirks. She flared her nostrils a lot and it was so noticeable. She also cried a lot and often times added "come on man" to the end of her lines. Weird thing to notice but she definitely did it LOL. You know who else did that a lot? JJ. He added "come on man" to the end of lines at times. And he also would tear up while saying lines. Sometimes actors just do that. GF did it a lot in the beginning too.

Drew made me realize that Cam isn’t a good actor. He has no range and comes off like a game show host most of the time,

He really isn't. I hear many say he is great in the Hallmark movies. I think that might be due to the cheese factor. I'm sorry. Those movies are sweet but many of them are cheesy as hell. And if never agree on anything--we will always have our shared opinion on CM. Because dude is missing a skinny mic to complete his game show host acting style.

Happy New Year!!!
