I disagree. Carly was vulnerable. I font even like Carly but she was a better character. Esme had no layers and is gleefully evil. They should have written her like Carly but they chose not to. She sad she was justified in the evil things she did when she was not. That’s the problem with this show villains stay far too long. Obrecht should have never been a long term character nor should Nina. I wouldn’t mind her for villainess stints like Heather but long term, no. Esme isn’t needed I’d rather see Emma or Lila Rae back.
