intimidate or threaten a woman. He's a punk! I get it. She turned him in for breaking the law and for a very petty reason. He could have tried to fight it with his lawyer, but nah. He decided to fall on his sword for his woman. And how ironic that he wasn't worried about being taken away from his daughter then--but he won't shut up about it now!
I hate Drew with a passion and agree with you about him falling on the sword with no regard for his daughter.
That said, while I don't like him physically getting in Nina's face, I have no problems with him threatening her. The fact that she is a woman shouldn't get her special treatment. She did him wrong knowingly.
