so he's available for her to date. She and Carly also shrugged off the knowledge that if she hadn't been marrying Dex, Sonny would have killed him for working for Michael. She has the nerve to criticize her mom for making the choices she WANTS to make -- having a boyfriend and hopefully spouse, working for the gummi bear ob.
She's happy being like her mob with Dex working for Sonny. Sonny banishes him because he can't trust someone who started working for him order to gather dirt to get him sent to jail ...since he DID start working for Sonny in order to get the dirt on him to send him to jail, and he's now a bad mobster again.
Back in the 90's we dubbed Sonny the Gummi Bear mob because once he as paired with Brenda and became THE leading romantic male, he became a "dialog criminal" being shown as a great romantic partner, great father and friend and good citizen -- except when he went against bad guy mobsters. Luckily for Port Charles Sonny was always triumphant. Some of us dubbed it the gummy bear mob, because if one went by the show, he worst he could be doing is dealing in contraband gummi bears. I understand, the show can't show his criminal enterprises because it doesn't mesh with his romantic lead. But sometimes it does get a bit silly when suddenly someone who has loved him and lived off of his "business" is mad at him and suddenly finds it "bad"
