the time but she is still the boss now and that constitutes insubordination. Alexis is the EIC. It is not her job to run off to a story. That is the job of a reporter. If that story was so hot she could have sent a reporter and taken the meeting which essentially wasn't more than a meet and greet. They were there what 15 minutes? LOL.

Alexis asked the reporter if they had things in hand and they said yes. But Alexis, being the control freak she is, couldn’t let someone else handle it and was rushing out the door. She certainly didn’t need to do that, but as EIC, it was her call. But you are correct that Nina had the power to overrule that decision. I just didn’t like her attitude. But I mostly never do.

And I agree it wasn't dirty laundry per se, but Alexis had a tone and attitude that clearly let Adrian know there was some tension there--which is not a good look for her. What could Nina have done differently? Given Alexis the heads up and ask if she was free.

Yes, Adrian could definitely tell there was tension, but I thought it was pretty mild as tension goes. He didn’t seem horrified or uncomfortable — more like he was interested in their dynamic and maybe even amused by it. Thank you for taking my point, which is that Nina had the opportunity to make that meeting go smoothly, but she muffed it.

What could Alexis have done differently? Behaved professionally which she did not. And this is coming from an Alexis fan. She was haughty and condescending yesterday. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Eh. Alexis is frequently condescending. It’s not appropriate to take that attitude with a boss, but I still say she gave as good as she got. Both of them were responsible for whatever tension there was.

I think they were both wrong, but Nina is her boss now. If she doesn't like her managerial style, have a conversation and give feedback or maybe find another job.

This is my fondest hope — that Nina will give Valentin an ultimatum re Nina and then follow through. But more likely, Alexis and Nina will end up as friends after the initial adjustment period. Gack, lol!
