up all of these months, near death experience, and the Nina/Michael/Carly betrayals have allowed both of them to see each other in a new light. Ava actually feels for him because she can see how each hit has affected him and now his best friend is alive and may have shot his son who is fighting for his life—he’s reeling and looking for a lifeline and Ava fits that bill at the moment. I think both are surprised by the attraction, both feel the heat and the pull.
I don’t think she wants to be heavily involved with the mob again for no other reason than Avery.
It just sucks that this will ruin Ava/Nina’s friendship which I have enjoyed for the most part.
