she was taking his daughter and he needs to go find a meeting. There was no way on God's green Earth that was going to be received well. Her concern is valid. Her approach, tone and choice of words is not. She had a kneejerk reaction to seeing the bottle of bourbon.

There was a number of ways she could have handled this better. She was cold and authoritative and it backfired on her spectacularly.
