and Finn has to be off when viewers don't know if they are a couple or not. Is GH just pretending they never were a couple (just friends maybe like Patrick and Elizabeth, which was nice), or did they break up offscreen, or are they still a couple? Approximately one month ago I would have said they were a couple. Gregory even talked about them as a couple, and you could see them together acting like a couple. About a week later, Elizabeth is pretty much missing. Finn talks about Violet during the bachelor party but never mentions Elizabeth, who didn't even go to the celebrations leading up to the wedding. Naturally, different theories emerged regarding when or if they broke up. Elizabeth and Violet were together during the wedding, but since Elizabeth is Violet's aunt, that seems natural. During the ceremony, you don't see the usual glances that a couple might give to each other, but weren't Finn and Elizabeth holding hands after the wedding? If so, then it seemed as if they were still together. After Gregory passed away, Finn didn't contact Elizabeth. Chase did. I didn't know if Chase called Elizabeth, because he knew she would be there for Violet, which she was, or if he also called her because Finn/Elizabeth are a couple or good friends. At first I thought Violet and the two being a couple, but maybe not. She did tell Finn she cared about him, but she didn't use the word love, which I think they have used that term when they were a couple. He didn't mention anything like that either, although emotions were running high. Neither one suggested they spend the evening together to get through this and to be there for Violet. Finn simply said she could leave or make friendship bracelets with Violet, and Elizabeth simply offered taking Violet to her home. Are they together as a couple? Basically, I don't know. I can't think of another time when I've watched GH and was wondering if a couple broke up offscreen, if they were still together, or something else? I was glad to see that Elizabeth called Chase. (Just to be clear, I blame the writing, the overall direction, the lack of consistency, and the lack of airtime for this situation not BH or ME. I think the 2 actors are great.)
