A bit more Tea to spill… Tea for Two….as in coupling.

A popular actor who returned last year, and in his time back on the canvas, has had NO love connections was not happy with the direction his character was headed with the potential partner that the writers had planned (you don’t have to be Robert Scorpio to figure this one out).

The actor had been resistant to the coupling, dragging his feet and voicing his stance on who he wanted to be paired with…think back to 2021 and a gold wedding dress.

The re-direction by the unhappy actor caused another actor to feel a bit down and out after seeing his own popularity grow over a year on the show. With the change, the new actor took measures :) and bid an abrupt “hooroo” leading TPTB to scurry with a recast.

Hope this warms my DC friends up a bit during this cold February weekend :)

Below is the speculation that was posted after the tea was posted:

*The reason given about Charles' abrupt exit was difficulty with the schedule and also having to deal with the volume of dialogue daytime vs primetime.

*Just prior to Steve's return in March of 2024, he made mention of an exciting story for Jason. Buckle up! Well, that didn't really pan out as we have all witnessed, Jason is not on a ton and The Pikeman story was more about Sonny than Jason.

*But Charles actually left over the office politics over a redirection that was to come.

*This is where it gets messy as sources on Daytime Dish have a few who insist that SB wanted to work with LW aka Carly/Jason pairing. But then there was someone who posted and said he didn't want to do Carly and Jason. Steve is not keen on Anna/Jason either--hence the reason they didn't go beyond the one kiss.

*The plan was to pair Sasha and Jason but Steve voiced his displeasure and TPTB appeased him way back when.

*A few weeks ago Steve said he's not happy about where the story is going, with the pairing, with the lie the character was having tell and that he was 100% against all of it. He doesn't think it makes sense. Which is why he isn't leaning in and trying to act romantic.

*Steve returned in March and Patrick Mulcahey exited abruptly in May. The spec is he wanted to have Jason Morgan revert back to Jason Q. Not permanently but for a bit. Steve was against it. Frank wanted to keep SB happy, so Patrick bounced.

*The Sasha/Jason pairing seems to be a go due to ABC. The kiss Sasha planted on Jason was just the tip of the iceberg.
