Weeks ago I said Ava or Ric would be in this position. The rest of my predictions:

1. Ava will do the right thing and give him his pills.

2. Ava will be kind when comes out that Kristina tried to kill her and Alexis will give her back her divorce settlement as a thank you.

3. Ava will leverage not pressing charges against Kristina for attempted in murder in exchange for getting her divorce settlement back.

I believe we are headed towards #1 and #3.
