She was sent here to kill Nikolas
Kristina glanced around the restaurant worriedly. “We need to talk… privately,” she determined.What happens next?
They ended up in AJ’s car, driving through the city. “Start talking,” he urged.
“You don’t understand what it was like,” Kristina desperately insisted. “I grew up in a remote Cassadine compound where Helena ruled over my life,” she explained. “No matter what I did, it never pleased her. I was her prisoner from birth.”
AJ glanced from the dark road, seeing the tears rolling down Kristina’s face. His heart ached for her and because of her. She was only now telling him the truth.
“All these years I’ve been trying to gain her approval, striving to make her proud of me,” Kristina admitted. “And when she gave me this assignment, I swore I wouldn’t let her down. Nikolas had everything I was denied – including her praise and admiration. He was everything I never could live up to. When she told me that she wanted him dead, that she wanted ME to kill him for her… I was thrilled.”
AJ wondered who this stranger sitting next to him was. This couldn’t be his Kristina.
“But then I met you,” Kristina lovingly asserted. “You changed my life…”
