General Hospital Update for Friday, 22-Apr-2005

A PORT CHARLES Journal's HEADLINE: All havoc broke out in the Quartermaine Mansion today. AJ Quartermaine, who was thought to be dead in the Bahamas, was discovered lurking in the dark corners of the mansion with his abductee Michael. ( Aside) ... Michael has run to the boathouse where Carly and Sonny show up.Sonny declares to an angry Michael that AJ has brainwashed him. HE said: " WE love you, Michael." SOnny's approach with a brainwashed little boy is not working psychologically. Soooooo when Carly tries to hug him, he takes off again. Michael has been running, and disappearing a lot on General Hospital. ;-) Anyway, ALL heck breaks loose as Emily appears, and lets Monica free from the freezer. Monica rushes over to Jason's and begs him not to kill AJ. Jason says ; " IT must be done, Monica." IN the meantime,A fiesty Emily runs into a gun-toting AJ.He taunts her and she verbally lets him have it. She tells him that Jason was twice the father that he is. AJ, in a fit of rage, is about to slap Em when Alan reappears. AJ threatens them as they are about to walk off. Alan says " I am going to find Michael. If you want to shoot your dad in the back, then do so." Of course, the crazed AJ does shoot him in the back.EMily calls for help, but she must do something to stop the bleeding. She is, after all, a PRe-Med student. When Sam and Jason stealthily enter the Quartermaine's home, all is deadly quiet. Jason gives his gun to Sam in case she needs it.Then, he faces a belligerent, hostile AJ without a weapon. Jason vehemently argues with AJ,and dares him to kill him. AJ spews out his ugly brotherly venom in a touching "Cain and Abel" scenario. When Jason tries to wrestle the gun away from his jealous, distraught bro, they both fall over the bannister to the LR floor. Michael, Carly, Sam, Monica, and Sonny stand in fear as these brothers come crashing down.WHAT A DRAMATIC SCENE! This is worth an Emmy. on another note, Courtney gains her divorce from AJ with the help of a flirtatious woman who knows Jax. It makes Court see RED, but Jax proceeds with cajoling the striking attorney to do the final papers. Court asks Jax to write down ALL the women he has had sex with. For a while, she seems to rethink or ponder Jax's past.SHe wants to refrain from sex til they marry. To this reviewer ,this scene is rather insipid.I guess Courtney thinks that Jax did something RIGHT to make this woman do the divorce decree.Agent Marshall corners John Durant for a little chat while Ric records their conversation. Durant says that he took a bribe to bring Sonny down. When asked from whom he had accepted the bribe, he didn't seem to know. Ric said: " We will keep the tape until you find out who this person is." Remember, Durant has been talking to someone in the church. Ric says : " I will eventually get Sonny and Jason so do not think I have grown soft."Does he mean this? Time will tell.
By the way, AJ gave a very impressive acting performance in these final scenes.Why didn't Billy Warlock (AJ) do this role acting earlier? He was great! Please tune in on Monday to see if Alan will live , if AJ and Golden BOY are ok, and if Michael will defend AJ.( NOW BACK TO THE PORT CHARLES NEWS)Police are stationed on every portion of the grounds of THE Quartermaine Mansion. No one is really aware ,at this point, as to what is occurring inside.Our spokesman/ mediator is trying to get those who are inside to come out in a one- by -one sequence.This is all the news we have at the moment...Except the rumor that someone has been shot so says a 911 dispatcher...Keep tuned for the latest update.
