General Hospital Update for Friday, 20-May-2005

I purposely waited so I could view THE DAYTIME Emmys before writing this sketch of Friday's show. CONGRATS to GENERAL HOSPITAL for winning the Top Emmy for THE BEST SOAP.CLinching the Emmy for your directors is great!What about GH's writers? oops.. Also, a big hand to Natalia Livingston, (EMily) for best young actress. Pickles to those who did not elect one Nancy Lee Grahn( Alexis) for lead actress and Steve Burton ( Jason) for lead actor. Dillon , Skye, Brooke, and Ric were overlooked too. SOOOOOoo As a fan, You are all tops to me. Of course, I still miss Tamara Braun( Carly), but I wish her the best.You all deserve accolades for making GH a winner!
On Friday's show I loved the role playing that Nikolas did with Em. IT was difficult for Nik to become Connor, but it helped soooooo much for Emily to vent her hurt and anger. More role playing with the lovely shrink will be appreciated by those of us who want EM to get a pro's help. Of course, this was more difficult for Nik than he had expected. HE later told Liz how bad it had made him feel.This was such a psychological, wrenching moment for NIk and EM that I looked forward to some Luke and Tracy humor. An inebriated Tracy tied the knot with a devious Luke, in a Las Vegas way ,who wants her to return several million bucks to him. HE stole it from the Cassadines, and placed it in the Quartermaine's bank account. That was a big mistake to put it mildly. A jealous Skye is seen kissing Alcazar to make Luke envious, etc. Hey, I think she accomplished her plan. Sonny is facing a tough prosecutor who is none-the- less Carly's dad.Durant is a good actor /prosecutor. When Michael runs (again) from his home, he heads to the courthouse. John Durant who is relentless in his pursuit of Sonny calls Michael to the stand. Michael bravely tells all:" MY dad did not kill A.J." Now, a frightened and startled Sonny and Carly revolt, and Carly takes him off the stand.Both will do anything to protect Michael who supposedly killed his late biological dad AJ. It is all coming to closure ,perhaps, on Monday so please tune in and catch the verdict. Will the jury find Sonny guilty, will Ric try to help Sonny, will RIC and Alexis's marriage end? A most imperative question to ponder is WiLL MICHAEL TELL THE TRUTH? Psychologically, he may have to do so.
