Sonny asks Reese about their plans to live together. Unable to tell him her secret or know what would happen if she did, she just tells him it would be a huge commitment. He admits to her that he talked to Ric and asked him if he knew anything about her. He tells her perhaps he was just being paranoid. But she tells him she does not believe he was being paranoid. That’s all she can tell him, however.
Michael talks to his mother about something mysterious he found in Reese's purse yesterday. He admits that Morgan picked it up. He was kind of curious. But he put it back knowing he'd get in trouble snooping through it. He tells her that what he saw fall out of Reese's purse looked familiar, like what he's observed are his mother's possessions from high school. He remembers seeing something about somebody named Charlotte and he asks her who Charlotte is.
After he and Sam have been abducted by these mysterious men, while in what looks like a storage room, Jason yells for someone to hear him and know that he is there.
Right then, when Sam is taken to the mansion and the woman reveals that she knows her, Sam asks her why she thinks she does. The woman tells Sam that she looks just like her dead daughter.
Reese tells Sonny that she really would like to move forward. But she’s afraid that Michael might not be ready for that. Sonny informs her that he talked to Michael and he told his father he was ok with this. He tells her that Michael does not care for Lorenzo Alcazar and that’s the reason why he doesn’t approve of his mother marrying him. But Michael likes Reese so he’ll adjust to Sonny living with her. Again, Reese is hoping that Sonny will accept any excuse she has to have reservations about living together. She reveals that she is really honored by him asking her to be a part of his family. He tells her that it feels right. He does not want her to be living across town. He tells her that she can be the woman who can make his kids’ day when they see her in the morning and when they enter the house. He wants a real woman who can express an honest emotion. He tells her he’s willing to risk being happy and asks her if she is. And they hold each other.
Michael admits to his mom that he noticed a fancy invitation written by Reese that fell out of her purse in daddy’s living room. She tells him that’s ok that he did that. She then asks him to get his bathing suit and go swimming. Alone, she knows she has to get to the bottom of something.
When Jason is held in the storage room, some guys enter with some food. He tells them that the room service sucks. One guy tells Jason he better hope that “hot little tramp” of his is ok. Hearing that, Jason pushes him against the wall and tells him he will kill him if anything happens to Sam. They leave and Jason attempts to get himself free again.
After hearing the strange woman tell her she looks like her deceased daughter, Sam asks her who she is. She tells Sam her name is Allegra. And she tells Sam she wants her to take the place of her daughter, Alicia. Her daughter was about to get married. Sam asks Allegra why she wants her to play Alicia. She tells Sam that she lost her child and must salvage something. She tells her that the man her daughter was going to marry was very wealthy. And the marriage would have benefited both families. And she tells Sam that this wedding must happen. And she is not asking her. She is telling her she must step into her daughter’s place. She shows Sam a picture of Alicia. That kind of freaks her out because she looks exactly like Sam. That is obviously a picture of Kelly Monaco with a different hairstyle than Sam has. Sam tells Allegra that she is sorry for her loss. She knows that grief does terrible things to people. But she refuses to be her ‘meal ticket”. Allegra tells Sam it’s the only way to set her friend, Jason, free. Sam then picks up a letter opener and demands that Allegra tells her where Jason is.
Reese meets with Ric and tells him that she wonders what to do with Sonny. He makes light by telling her that sometimes you want to strangle that guy. She tells him that this is serious. She wants to have a life with Sonny. She is in love with him. He asks if she wants to have a life with him as Reese Marshall. She protests that she is Reese Marshall. And she is determined to show Sonny that this life is real. She tells him she did not do anything wrong. She is not out to hurt Carly. She has not done anything to her. She saved Michael. She contributed to Sonny’s family. He tells her regardless of that, she might lose Sonny if she reveals the truth to him.
Right then, Carly follows Michael’s “lead” and goes to Sonny’s. Wouldn’t you know that she walks in unseen. Nobody is there. Reese has left her purse right where Carly can find it. She pulls the letter out and puts it in her purse. Right then, Sonny enters and asks her what she is doing there. She tells him that she’s found out that he’s asked Reese to move in with him. He asks her if she is there to give him grief about that. But she surprisingly seems calm and tells Sonny that it’s totally ok with her. It’s his business and she knows Reese makes him happy. He asks her if she is on drugs. She tells him she does not have a problem with it. Michael is ok with it. And she wishes him luck. He tells her he appreciates that. But before she leaves, he tells her he’s “just curious” as to what she stuck in her purse before he came in.
Again, Ric warns Reese about Sonny’s trust issues. She tells him Sonny is crazy about her. Ric reminds her that Sonny was crazy about Carly also. But he ended their marriage as soon as he found out about the secrets she kept from him. Right then, Alexis enters with a strange man who serves Ric with a court subpoena.
Sam tells Allegra that she does not know her or Jason. She Allegra what she wants with them and tells her she looks like a rich snob. Allegra tells Sam she can make it “very worth her while”if she plays the role of Alicia. Sam says she does not care about money. All she cares about is Jason. Allegra tells Sam that it's primal for anybody to fight for their survival. She tells Sam she will do anything to fight for her money and knows Sam will do anything to fight for her boyfriend. Sam, then asks her what she needs to do. She tells Sam that as soon as she’s gotten Alicia’s inheritance after she marries the rich Andrew, she will be able to give Sam a lot of money. Sam asks if she can divorce Andrew soon. Allegra says of course. As soon as Sam “consummates” the marriage.
In response to Sonny’s question about what Carly put in her purse, she tells him she got an invitation to an old class reunion. He makes a comment about how she should go without her husband and without her wedding ring. He tells her how much she loves revenge, revealing that he knows she is up to something.
After Alexis and her “order server” approach Ric, Reese tells her she has gone too far. She leaves and Alexis tells Ric that there is too much discrimination exercised upon people who have breasts and ovaries. He protests that he respects all professional people. And the reason why he married her in the first place is because he respects her as a professional woman. She reminds him that he wants to prevent her from working with them because she is pregnant; something he is just as much responsible for as she. But he surprises her by telling her he’s discussed this with Reese and they want to offer her something she’d probably like. He wants to offer her full partnership. Their law firm will now be Lansing, Marshall and Davis. But Alexis does not seem to buy that.
Right then, the captors brings Jason his food again. He asks where Sam is. They smirk and tell him that she’s being a “real good girl”.
Sam tells Allegra she will not sleep with a stranger in order to satisfy Allegra's greed. She also tells her there is no way she can pass herself off as a society princess even if she wanted to go through with this. Allegra tells her she can be her personal tutor. Sam says she already knows about the utensils and snails and she does not know how to do that. Allegra tells her she has no problem with that. There is only one thing she must do in order to convince Andrew that she is his precious Alicia. She will have to dance. Hearing that, Sam asks if she is serious. Does she believe for one moment that Sam could do a ballroom dance? Allegra tells her she knows she can learn. But Sam shows that she is a very awkward dancer.
Alone at Sonny’s and hearing the mysterious name Charlotte, Carly asks herself who Charlotte is. She remembers the only Charlotte she knows is her friend from high school who died in the car crash. Right then, it looks like Carly is unraveling the mystery about Reese.
Reese then goes to see Sonny. And she announces to him that he will probably cancel his offer when he hears what she has to tell him.
When Jason is in captivity and knows that Sam was taken to the next room, he assumes she is there and can hear him. He knows somebody is on the other side of the wall. He successful breaks a hole through. And he sees a woman. She looks just like Sam. He says Sam. A woman then raises her head to face him and asks who Sam is. Is that the mysterious Alicia, held in captivity? After seeing Sam stumble and reveal she is a terrible dancer, the woman tells her that she’d almost believe that Sam does not want to save her boyfriend. But she knows that is not the case. She says they must try again. But right then, Sam kicks Allegra, makes her fall over and runs into the next room. She sees a strange man who calls her sweetheart and tries to kiss her. And she smacks him.
Carly, right then, relives all her memories of her high school friend, Charlotte. And she seems to know who she is.
Reese, is right then, revealing to Sonny for the first time that long before she ever heard of him or Michael, she knew Carly. She used to be Charlotte Roberts, Carly’s best friend in high school.
