General Hospital Update for Friday, 12-Aug-2005

Fridays are great on General Hospital! The major plot today was the truth- revealing story of revenge . Caroline/ Carly and Charlotte /Reese finally had their major emotional showdown. By now, I guess most of our GH fans know that Reese has told Sonny who she really is. As he listens to Reese, Carly figures out that her dead teenage friend is really alive. She rushes to tell Sonny. Sonny,of course, knows the situation.Reese explains prior to Carly's outrage that she had loved Carly, but Carly had wrecked her family.Charlotte ,as a teen, had found Caroline in bed with her father. Carly says that he seduced her. When Charlotte/Reese ran to her car and drove away, she was involved in a major car crash. Her mom told her dad that she was dead,and he began to drink, etc. Eventually, her dad took his life. After the almost fatal accident, Reese went from doctor to doctor to heal . She thought of how much Caroline's "thing with her dad" had devastated her family. SOOOooo she ,as an adult, finds the chance to reek havoc on Caroline/ Carly's family.Reese says:" Caroline /Carly stole my life ,and I will steal hers".After the explosive scene with Carly, Sonny tells an agitated, emotionally distraught Carly to leave. Then, he turns away from Reese too. Sonny tells Reese that she could have revealed this sordid secret to him eons ago.He said: "I am not going down that road with you or anyone else." Has Sonny had enough with Reese and Carly?
On the other side of the world, Sam is being told that she must impersonate a Greek daughter named Alicia whom her mother Allegra thinks is dead. Jason has met a firey Alicia in Allegra's estate's basement. Alicia explains why she doesn't wish to marry the wealthy ,handsome Andrew.She has been feigning death so she will not have to marry a man whom she doesn't love. When Andrew, the man Alicia was to marry, asks Alicia/ Sam to dance, she falls. He is most suspicious of Alicia's faux paus.Alicia is said to be a wonderful dancer.( GH is capitalizing on her winning the dance contest).Why not use her talent?This scene provided some comic relief since Sam did not do well at all in the waltz.Yet, later, she agrees to pretend that she is Alicia so Jason can go free. It's a rather complex situation.
On the teen scene, Maxie has drunk something that some evil person has laced her drink with at a party. Her rival, Brook Lynn, also seems inebriated with some drugged drink.Lucas comes back to GH ,and tries to comfort Brook.Something is awry at The Pizza Shack.Diego knows that Maxie has flirted with him to incense the young policeman. He is livid.His dad is livid too, and he throws Carly out when she returns home from Sonny's. As one can see, General Hospital must be seen on Monday to put together the puzzling pieces of these intricate scenarios.
