General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 16-Aug-2005

Courtney and Jax kiss. She tells him she knows they both said some things they should not have. He tells her all he wants is to see her smile. But she turns away, seeing Nikolas and thinking about him. He notices that she almost jumped out of her skin. He tells her he assumes that they are not “alone” any more since Elizabeth is staying with them. But she does not tell him what is really on her mind. She then tells him that maybe they should get out of Port Charles. Courtney plans a trip with Jax, telling him that she wants them to fall in love all over again.

Emily runs into Nikolas at the hospital. She tells him she did not mean to distance him again. He tells her she need not explain anything. He is only there for a board meeting. Monica appears and Nikolas leaves. Monica asks her daughter if she is ok. Emily admits that she and Nikolas have become one of those couples who avoid each other and pretend.

Alicia tells Jason that her mother is a nutcase. She has locked her in a closet for days. She’ll do anything just to get what she wants. She’d stop at nothing in order to get Andrew’s money. She tells him he must not believe that Sam is too smart to be fooled by her. He tells her she must find the boat so he and Sam can get out of there. But she keeps telling him that her mother will catch them all. She then asks him about Sam’s relationship with her mother. He replies that Sam’s mother is dead. She tells him that any time anybody ticks her mother off, she knows how to make them disappear.

When Allegra sees Sam holding a blade to her, she tells Sam she may kill her. She only wishes that Sam could protect her daughter. Sam tells Allegra of she does what they want, then there will not be a problem. She admits to Sam that she has become desperate to resort to kidnapping innocent lovers. But what else could she do? She tells Sam that all her daughter wanted was a man to love her. But she cannot have that. So she just wants to make sure that Alicia has money. She cries and tells Sam she may kill her and get out with Jason and do what she wants.

Carly goes to Kelly’s and punches Reese. Reese tells her they can have it out, right there, right now. Reese knocks Carly over a table. Customers leave. Mike then comes out. Justus is ready to break them up.

Ric tells Sonny he must realize that Reese did what she did because she thought it was the right decision. He says it’s not unlike his not telling Sonny that he was his brother for the same reason. He admits to Sonny that he agreed to keep his mouth shut for Reese about her true identity. He tells Sonny he has many faults but being a hypocrite is not one of them. Sonny asks Ric what other secrets he and Reese are keeping from him. Ric replies that there is nothing more to tell. But Sonny tells Ric he can see from his face that he is hiding something. Sonny tells Ric he does remember how Ric blew into town with all his betrayal. Ric tells him that he and Reese are business partners and he is a married man. And Reese is in love with Sonny and does not want to be with anybody else. He reminds Sonny that she would still be there if he had not thrown her out for telling the truth. Sonny tells Ric that two minutes of truth does not make up for all the betrayal she has inflicted upon him. Ric tells Sonny he must give Reese a chance. Right then, Sonny gets a call from Mike which he can barely hear over all the yelling and smashing going on. Mike tells his son he better get down there. His “two women” are ready to kill each other over him. Mike and Justus pull Carly and Reese away. They scream at each other. They each accuse the other of stealing their lives. Mike tells them that neither of them are going to “win” here because they have both lost their men. Reese tells Carly that all she cares about is Sonny. And Lorenzo Alcazar is just another weapon

Emily tells her mother that she is not about to give up on Nikolas but it looks like he’s given up on her. She realizes she must not be very good company and notices that Nikols might be “looking around”. Monica assures her daughter to know that Nikolas is not a philanderer. She says he may be guilty of a lot of things. But infidelity is not one of them. Emily apparently has no clue that her husband is ready to get it on with Courtney. But Elizabeth knows about it. She informs Monica. Courtney appears and Monica does not look friendly to the woman who wants to take her daughter’s husband. Courtney asks about the board meeting that she planned to attend for the children’s foundation. Monica admits she forgot about it and asks Courtney how she would find time for that when she has “impending motherhood” to deal with.

At Kelly’s, Justus tells the two violent women that violence does not solve anything. Mike asks Carly if it does not mean anything to find out her best friend is alive and well. Calry says that Reese played on her son’s affections and seduced her husband. Reese tells Carly she is a wrecking ball, just like she was when she slept with Reese’s father. Reese is ready to hurt Carly until Sonny comes and pulls her off of Carly. But it clearly looks like he’s only concerned over whether Reese is hurt and ignores Carly. So does Mike. Carly tells them to hell with all of them. They don’t seem to care about her. Right then, Lorenzo enters. She rushes to him, assuming he will comfort her. But he doesn’t seem to want to either.

Allegra goes and talks to Jason about Sam. She appears “friendly” telling him that she likes Sam and sees her as the daughter she wishes she had. He tells her that her daughter just informed her what a con she is. He then grabs her and tells her he wants to see Sam right now. Right then, Dante holds a gun on Jason. She warns him that he better let her go or he will never see Sam again. He tells Dante that Jason is a reasonable man who just “lost his way” for a moment. She sounds like she has a high opinion of Sam and does not think as well of her daughter.

Lorenzo tells Carly that he is not there to rescue her. He will wash his hands of her. He tells Sonny she is all his because all she’s done is lie to him.

Jason reunites with Sam in the mansion. He gets on the phone in order to call home but he cannot get out without an access word. He tells her they must split from Allegra She’s a nutcase and probably capable of murder. But Sam tells her that she knows Allegra is not a terrible person. She reminds her of her own mother. She may be a little off the wall but she has good intentions. Allegra privately talks to her daughter, telling her that she thinks Sam is a sweet girl. But she does not respect Alicia and does not believe she has any place on the island.

Carly is waiting for Lorenzo, assuming he will come back and apologize to her. But he’s not there. Leticia enters and she has her take Morgan.

Sonny seems to consider getting back with Reese. But she walks out his door telling him that if she stays in his house again, it will be because they both want it. She will not be a “guest”.

And wouldn't ya know? Right when Courtney is on a flight to the Bahamas, ALONE, WITHOUT JAX, right when his "JET" is not working, she just happens to notice NIKOLAS ALSO on that flight, BY HIMSELF headed to the Bahamas! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! ANd Jax just calls her to inform her he WON'T be able to join her for DAYS!

We'll have to see what happens tomorrow!
