Sonny visited Reese and remarked upon her beauty. She was just happy about surviving, and they smooched. He thanked her for putting her life on the line and admitted, "We make a good team." Then he gave her a bracelet. She loved it — and told him, "I love you," stunning him. They agreed to take a ski trip and smooched just as Alan appeared and shooed Sonny away. Monica came in and complimented Reese's new bracelet, then asked if she was moving in with Sonny. Later, Sonny called to thank her for being in his life.
Robin explained to Frenchy how Stone infected her. Her drug regimen works for her, but HIV complicates relationships. Frenchy accused her of suffering from a broken heart, but she dismissed his concern — she merely loves her work in pathology and clinical research, focusing on brain damage and memory loss. She admitted being inspired by a "friend." Later, Robin recalled Jason giving her a necklace for Christmas, then she had a sad memory of Jason dumping her after she told AJ the truth about Michael.
Maxie returned Sage's diary to Diego and quizzed him about it. He claimed to read it only to learn about his father. JumpStreet Jesse showed up to say he's not moving back into the dorm. At Kelly's, JumpStreet confessed that if Maxie never spoke to him again, he'd be inconsolable. He's also not sure the stalker has been caught, so he's staying on the case. He cautioned her that seen some "bad stuff" in his life and wants to shield her from it. Apparently this turned Maxie on, because she agreed to go out with him again.
When Sam saw Manny ogling her in the shower she screamed for Max and opened fire with her Shower Gun. She thought she hit him, but Max believed she imagined Manny. Jason figured out that Manny was hiding in the guest room before Sam got home and got lucky when she decided to take a shower. Jason vowed to "kill that bastard." He insisted Sam stay with him, because he can't trust Sonny's guard (good call!). Suddenly, Jason felt woozy, and needed his pills. Sam accused him of not caring about his health and begged him to talk to Dr. Jones. Dr. Jones said Jason's condition was deteriorating because of resistance to the meds. If they cannot find another drug, surgery may be necessary. His memory may be restored, or he might not wake up, might go blind, be unable to walk, or left in a vegetative state. "I'd rather die," he answered as Sam hugged him. Jason insisted he can still function and protect her.
Lucky advised Emily not to put her life on hold for Sonny and his kids. She insisted the boys need a maternal presence, and she's the only one qualified/uncompromised by recent events, but agreed to talk to Sonny about moving out. Then Sonny arrived home, and Michael asked about visiting his mother. Sonny claimed he visited Mommy, and she's making progress, but isn't coming home soon, and a visit would make her sad. Emily said doctors know best. Sonny suggested writing to her, and Emily sent them to bed. Sonny said she'd make a great doctor — just like Carly's. Then he recounted visiting Rose Lawn: He found Carly singing to a doll, calling it Michael, and saying how much she loved and missed her little boy. He called out, but she didn't hear. She's so far gone he cannot reach her. Emily thought better of asking to move out. Later, at the hospital, Alan berated Emily for spending too much time at Sonny's and letting her schoolwork go. Alan revealed he told her dean she was lying about having a medical problem. This will result in her being expelled — but he promised to recant if she moved out of Sonny's tonight.
In his lair, Manny ranted to a video camera about how "Sweetness" shot him, then dug out the bullet himself and vowed to see her again. Meanwhile, Jason vowed to die for Sam, but he won't let docs cut up his brain. A nurse took Jason for his CT scan just as Dr. Jones arrived with good news. The French are developing a cure for Jason's condition, and one of the doctors involved is an old friend of Jason's: Robin Scorpio.
