General Hospital Update for Friday, 28-Oct-2005

• Lucky and Liz are each preparing for their big day. Still alone they face the little horrors that threaten to turn their true happiness into -yet another- compromise: his frayed suit, her stuck zipper, his too-short sleeves...
• Ric and Alexis arrive at Wyndemere. They are sweet but awkward and careful with each other when Ric's phone rings and it's Reese- crying...
• Sam comes down from the bedroom and picks up the phone. She begins to leave a message for Robin Scorpio - it's about Jason... Jason disconnects the call as Robin answers. He doesn't want her involved. Sam knows he's in too much pain to sleep - too much pain to be with her. She wants him to try, to see if there may be help. Jason feels there isn't enough benefit to the process of medicine. Sam flatly tells him it will be worse.
• Sonny enters Reese's room. He wants to know why Reese would want to see him. He's hurt and there's no reasoning against his arguments. She wanted payback for Carly's betrayal. She got it - but she used the wrong "Daddy." She can keep Ric as far as Sonny's concerned.
• Emily and Nikolas arrive at Liz and Lucky's respective abodes to offer invitations to a fairy-tale wedding...
• The guests begin to arrive at Wyndemere for the wedding: Jax and Alexis chat about parenthood with the evil Helena, the Quartermaines cat-fight delightfully with a sullen Courtney (Tracy drop-kicks her with "at least there were no children" involved in her 2 Q marriages).
• Jason and Sam arrive at GH for more tests with Dr. Tony. Jason is clearly reluctant and believes he can simply "handle" his headaches. Tony disagrees. Sonny joins Sam and Sam fills him in on Jason's condition. She wants to know more about Robin...
• Ric arrives at Reese's hospital room and she reveals that Sonny overheard them talking about their tryst. Ric understands that the world as he's known it is at an end.
• Sonny explains to Sam that Robin stuck her hand in the hornet's nest and was surprised when she got stung. Sam is desperate and needs to believe that Jason can forgive Robin. Jason wants Sam to stop pushing the Robin issue. It's not going to happen, it's all experimental, there's no guarantee any of it will work anyway. Sonny knows Jason isn't afraid of risk and tells Jason he needs to stop making this all about Robin.
• Durante randomly stops by to tell Sonny and Co. that Manny Ruiz's plane went down. There are no survivors. Jason doesn't buy it. Manny's coming back.
• The families gather 'round Liz for the final wedding touches: Audrey monogrammed a handkerchief for Liz (new), Lesli presents her with Laura's pearls (old), Bobbi lends her Ruby's bracelet (borrowed), and little Cameron (via Emily) gives Mommy a wedding garter (blue).
• Georgie and Dillon sneak a peek at the ballroom and are suddenly over come by the urge to do a Fred-and-Ginger style production number. It was all very odd. Dillon's stripper-esque solo sequence was interesting.
• Everyone seldom seen and beautifully dressed is prepared for the big event. Each person seems to feel the need to apologize to Lucky for Luke's absence. Of course, Luke arrives. Laura was the love of his life and she wants him to be there. Luke had the love but he didn't get the life. Lucky knows how to fight for his life, he'll fight for love too.
• Luke and Helena meet to witty banter and barbs. Luke warns her to play nice with his family... or else. He can relax. She's not there for the Spencers.
• Jason and Sam come home and she pulls Tony's plan out of him. Jason says the treatment is 2 weeks in hospital on an IV drip. He'll be sick, disoriented, he may even hallucinate. He's not even considering it. Meanwhile, Tony is sending Robin the test results. Jason and Sam continue to argue. Jason pauses long enough to answer the phone. SURPRISE! It's Robin.
• Ric walks into Sonny's study. Sonny is all business. Ric wants to explain things. Sonny tells him it's not necessary, thanks for all your help, you'll be properly paid. Ric won't let himself be cleaned up like a spilled drink.
• The wedding is about to begin. Emily tells Liz that this magic isn't only till midnight but forever...
• LuLu enters first making her debut as a viable teen character.
• Emily comes next and Nik is visibly moved by her entrance. Courtney notices and becomes distressed. Jax notices this and, right in the middle of the wedding, confronts her to tell him what she's been trying to hide. She blurts out that she is pregnant, that he's the dad, and then she leaves.
• Liz enters the room and...
