Robin feels it is a conflict of interest for Patrick to do risky brain surgery on a potential donor when Noah is on the transplant list. She is right and despite Patrick’s best efforts Jesse dies. Maxie tries to play the brave and courageous widow, but somehow she just comes off as cold. She wants Georgie to stop hanging with Diego, as he is a dangerous con. While furthering a storyline is a good goal, a little more depth of character is required to be convincing. Seeing as there was already necrosis and massive bleeding in the brain, Jesse wasn’t likely to make it. Lucky is racked with guilt as Jesse was in harm’s way at his behest. Diego promises to help Lucky so that no one else gets hurt because of his actions. With all this guilty regret wafting through the air it is inevitable that someone find a scapegoat. Lucky overhears 2 orderlies talking about the unlikely coincidence of Patrick, who’s never lost a patient, losing a patient who just happens to fit his father’s genetic profile. It looks bad for Patrick, but good for Noah.
Alcazar shows up at Sonny’s to establish just who was behind the gun battle targeting his son. Sonny assures him that no one on his payroll shot at Diego. He doesn’t shoot kids. He points to Alcazar’s ugly alliance with Manny as the real problem. Alcazar seems satisfied with Sonny’s answers and renews his offer for a truce. Sonny accepts. Alcazar then heads out to find Manny. He shoves Manny’s head in a mop bucket and lets him know that he is not to be messed with. Skye catches Lorenzo in the act and Lorenzo doesn’t finish the lesson. Manny doesn’t like being disrespected this way and tells Alcazar that he still has the goods on him. Manny is more than happy to let Skye, or anyone else he finds useful, know what he knows. To cure this disease Alcazar puts his bad deeds regarding chart-switching and little miss LuLu Spencer on the table for Skye. She’s appalled. Manny denies going after Diego, though. Liar, liar…
Carly visits baby John at GH. Nik stops by to see John also and Carly explains - again - that Jax has a restraining order against Nik seeing John. Nik gets pissy and accuses Carly of using the baby to get Jax and to manipulate everyone to her whims. She lets him have it. She had felt sympathy for his wish to see John. Now she lets his sanctimonious and self-righteous butt know that he had better learn to control his temper. As is, she will never go against Jax to let him see the baby. When she is called away by Michael Nik sneaks in to see John anyway.
Jason is dreaming of shooting Sonny. Maybe literally. Sam thinks it is just stress. He wants Sam under guard as he feels Sonny isn’t acknowledging the threat Manny poses. As long as Sonny tries to keep Emily from his dark side he is in denial of the truth and everyone is at risk. Monica wants Jason’s assurance that Emily is safe. He agrees that Emily shouldn’t be anywhere near Sonny. He tells her he will take care of the situation. Jason heads over to Sonny’s, finds broken bottles and a mess in the main room, and assumes Sonny has lost it. He manhandles Max to find out where Sonny is and heads to the hotel.
Sonny gave the boys a model airplane to distract them from the fact that he is leaving them to be with Emily. It was the boys who tore up the house. Emily and Sonny are doing the nasty at a very posh hotel under the name of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Everyone at the hotel knows who they really are. Sonny should be more discreet. He’s having too much fun to notice that he is being sloppy with his security. He gets a wake-up call when Jason arrives to shoot the hit man who has already made it into the Smith’s room.
