General Hospital Update for Thursday, 8-Jun-2006

What a day in PC today! Based on the spoilers I've been reading, it almost seemed like the calm before the storm! And with that, let's get started!
It seemed that today's overall theme was women doing anything to save their men. Why do I say that? Because we were privy to schemes cooked up by Sam for Jason, Carly for Jax, Liz for Lucky and finally, let's not forget Emily for Sonny.
Let's start with Liz and Lucky. Lucky is now officially back on the force and we see him qualifying on the rifle range, with help from his friend in the little bottle--his pain pills.
Liz, however, has decided that Lucky has lost his confidence and feels that there's nothing like a nice bust to bring it back--but she doesn't want him to get hurt while doing it. She decides to ask Jason to help arrange one--one that's not major, but will have just enough brownie points for Lucky with Mac. Jason says that he knows of an arms dealer who might have ties to the weapon that killed Durant and shot Sam. He warns Liz that it could still be dangerous, but Liz says that Lucky faces danger every day on the force and this will do nicely.
Lucky comes to see her at GH later to apologize for being an ass--and mentions to her that he's gotten a tip on an arms dealer! He's upbeat and promises to call later.
Now Carly and Jax. Carly spies Nicholas with Dr. Lee at GH, talking about the paternity test he's having done on John, due to his doubts. As Carly watches Nick handing over a lock of John's hair, she realizes that Nick's latest visit to John wasn't as innocent as it seemed, and goes into action.
She sneaks into the staff changing room, breaking into an empty locker to grab some scrubs, when Patrick comes in. As she hides, Patrick does everything at his locker but say "You are so beautiful!" to his reflection in the mirror, before he goes out. She's not off the hook, yet, as he comes back in while she's changing.
After Patrick says that the nurses are getting hotter at GH, Carly goes into her usual song-and-dance of it being life and death, blah, blah and forget you ever saw me, when Robin comes in! Patrick and Robin start kissing as Carly hides and gags and Patrick gets her to leave.
Carly is able to break into the GH computer (after being told to empty a bed pan by Epiphany!!) and changes the results of John's paternity test, showing that Jacks is now his father. How she's able to get the passwords, I'll never know! GH's computer security is so lax, it's scary--as any 12 year old can break into it, it seems!
Now Sam and Jason. Sam is at her wits end as we know--and will do anything to get Jason back. She's still out at the lake house and is surprised by Ric when he comes home early in the afternoon to work on his computer.
As Ric has to leave in order for her latest plan with Jason to work, Sam calls Emily and asks her to call him, telling him that Sonny needs to see him ASAP. Em complies, and Sam's next call is to Jason, telling him that she's alone at the Lake House and someone is trying to break in. That's all Jason needs, and he's on his way.
It works like a charm, as Jason kicks the door open with his gun drawn, and Sam goes running into his arms. (Guess we'll find out what happened on Friday!)
Finally, Emily and Sonny. Sonny has figured out that Emily had ulterior motives behind his lunch date with Lainey and isn't upset about it. Em's still not convinced that Sonny is 100 percent, however. More to come on this, I'm sure!
