General Hospital Update for Friday, 27-Oct-2006

I've said it before and I'll say it again: "Welcome back, Genie, Welcome back, Genie, Welcome back Genie!!!!!!!!" When I started watching GH, Laura Spencer was on probation for the murder of David Hamilton, and I got interested because here was a girl my age who was in all sorts of trouble! And now we've sorta grown up together with GH! And why weren't the Spencers not given center stage today? Anyway, rant's over and on to the show...
We start off with Luke and Laura (boy, it's good to say that phrase again!!). Luke has just gotten ready to accept that the drug has been a failure and Laura will never wake up. He's leaving her hospital room when he hears "Luke?" Laura's back!
Luke can't believe it and is soon holding Laura for the first time in 4 years. (And does this rascal have some 'splaining to do!) Doctors Drake and Scorpio are soon in the room and examine Laura thoroughly. According to Patrick, Laura is a "medical miracle" and Robin advises Luke to get her an experienced psychiatrist, to help Laura deal with the trauma that put her in the hospital in the first place. Lainey is soon on the case (as if we didn't know!)
Meanwhile, Lucky, Nickolas and Lulu, Laura's children, are also preparing to leave, when they are summoned by Robin, who gives them the great news.
The kids go running into Laura's room, which is great timing--as Laura is devastated to think that they could be dead, because they were in the same car accident that she thinks she was in. She looks at Lulu, and knows in a flash that it's been a long time, as she remembers Lulu to be much younger and smaller. She turns to Luke in tears and asks "How long have I been like this?" and Luke gently tells her.
The other things that happened today involved Ric, who is definately now a dog, and Alexis. Ric goes over to the Lake House and picks up Molly. He takes her to his new place at the Metrocourt, handing Rodriguez a court order granting him emergency custody.
Alexis and Sam have been tipped off to this by their nanny and Alexis sets plan B into action at the hospital. She gets the judge to deny the order and Sam gets Sonny and Jason to come with her to Ric's to get Molly back. She brings Molly to the hospital to see Alexis--but Alexis and Sam both agree that she's still moving out, due to the huge fight they had over Ric sleeping with Sam.
And let's not forget Skye, Alcazar and Lila Rae! The biggest thing that happened there is that Diego met his little sister, which was sweet; and agreed to work with Daddy in his business, which wasn't so sweet! And of course, Ric wants to work with Alcazar to get back at Sonny and Jason, blah blah....
So Genie Francis fans, don't forget to watch Monday! Let's enjoy this while we can, OK?
