Just your typical Friday in Port Charles! What with a potential smear campaign, a child abduction and a potential shotgun marriage, let alone finding the proof of a faked pregnancy, I'd say it's all in a day's work, wouldn't you?
Let's start off in Colorado, where Nicholas and Emily have gone on the wild goose chase staged by Helena. Their search for Spencer is fruitless and to make matters worse, the local police find them, after Nick finds a baby bottle.
The cop has a heart, and checks out their story. When it pans out, the cops start working with them to find Spencer and Colleen. Tragic news hits, when a police officer tailing their car on the freeway reports that it crashed through a guardrail and fell down a gorge into a river!
Nick is overcome with grief and races down to the guardrail, where the cops report that the doors to the car flew open and noone is inside the vehicle. The head cop gently tells him that since it's getting dark, it would be dangerous for a search party to go out, but all efforts will be made in the morning.
There's a gruesome twist to this--and naturally Helena is behind it. We next see Spencer on the Cassadine jet, being held by Helena! It turns out the whole thing was staged by her and now she's planning to change his name and groom him as the Cassadine heir. No word on Colleen, the crazy nanny yet, but I'm sure that's coming.
We then move over to GH, where Liz needs to learn that she can't have her cake and eat it too. She tells Lucky (AGAIN) that she's not interested in taking him back, and it seems that Lucky is finally starting to get the message.
However, she's still freaked over Maxie and her influence over him. So Liz decides to do a little privacy violation and orders Maxie's medical records--where she gets the proof that she faked her pregnancy test and the whole thing is a lie! Naturally, Liz tells Epiphany about this, who prepares to give Maxie a what-for, before Liz stops her.
Now, if this were to happen in any other hospital, these nurses would be fired, but hey, this is GH, where a 10-year-old can hack into the computer system, right? Don't need Spinelli for this one, lol.
We're still at GH, where Skye is standing watch over Lorenzo in the ICU, where he's still fighting for his life. And good thing she's doing that, because we all know what happened to his IV this week, right? Now at a normal ICU, nurses are there around-the-clock, but it seems like everyone goes home at 5 pm at GH!
Skye comes into contact with Craig, the mysterious man who tampered with Lorenzo's IV (which she doesn't know) and who introduces himself as a business associate. She tells him that she's handling all of his business matters for the time being and Craig asks her about the shipment. Skye covers and goes home to find the information. She then talks outloud and tries to figure out the password to Lorenzo's PDA.
Now on to that smear campaign. Tracy is still steamed that Sam has Edward's ear and is working as his executive assistant at ELQ. She's determined to get the goods on Sam and is calling a detective to do a background check, when Sam finds her, and sweetly tells her (in front of Edward) that if there is anything she wants to know about her, all she needs to do is ask.
Sam also scores points when going through Tracy's files, she discovers a deadline that Tracy almost missed regarding a payout in the Enduro condom scandal. If ELQ had missed it, Tracy would have cost the company 1 million dollars!
Tracy's not grateful and finds someone who does have something on Sam. She asks for a hard copy of it and looks pretty pleased with herself at the end of the show.
Shotgun marriage? Well, that would be Carly and Sonny! We all know that Carly barged into Ric's office and shot her mouth off as usual, which was taped by Ric. Sonny and Jason came to bail her out and told Ric to play the tape at a press conference, as he threatened--because it showed that Ric and Lorenzo were working together to frame Sam with the flashdrive! Ric backed off.
It gets even worse for Ric, when Lucky and Cruz bring in the hitwoman that Lorenzo hired before the shooting, who's prepared to testify for full immunity.
She tells all to Ric and the cops, and says that she was paid by Lorenzo to plant the gun at the coffee shop so he could take it into Sonny's office, proving Sonny's claim of self-defense. Ric is not too pleased at this point!
A phone call is made to Sonny's attorney, who gives the good news to him, saying that now he doesn't have to marry Carly to keep her from testifying against him! Carly walks into his office at this point and says "I'll marry you!" Seems like the ball is in Sonny's court at this moment! And we'll have to wait till Monday!
