Lorenzo can't remember squat; is he faking, or not? Sam snatched the mask off Craig, now she's dressed like a perp. Emily comforts Alan as he lay dying from a heart attack in the other room. Patrick bangs on the hotel door, asking for them to take him instead. Inside, Craig and crew play sadistic games with the hostages. He agrees to let Carly and Emily perform the surgery while 'the surgeon' talks them through it on the phone. Enter Dr. Russel Ford (Alan's replacement contract? Why not just let the old Q. stay?) Craig drags Em away from her dad, and puts Lulu in there. Sky and Jason confer at the hospital, but she's no help to him. It's the Equinox briefcase. Craig needs that code, or it's gonna blow! Dr. Ford arrives, and spends the whole episode bashing Dr. Drake and his slack performance in the O.R. with Alkie. So Alan gives the big deathbed confession to Lulu. He didn't kill Rick Webber, and neither did Monica. He knew Laura was innocent. Lulu rages, Alan gasps (oh, the drama), she begs him not to die. "But I saw some...thing...ahhh....".
Outside the hotel, it's chaotic. Lansing fights with Patrick, Alexis arrives, then leaves. She goes over to the hospital to badger Lorenzo. Is he really brain-damaged, or is he faking? Probably his brain is silly-putty, with all that poking around in there. Otherwise, he would have told Skye the other half of the code when he had the chance.
So Sam and Nicholas get the supplies, and Carly and Em start the operation (on the couch, in the lobby). Emily gets inside and then, whoops, the bullet (or is it the paring knife?) has hit an artery. There's blood everywhere! Emily panicks. Spinelli does the Jackal thing, and overrides the hotel system so Jason can get in there without the bad guys getting wise (wiseguys, ha ha. I crack myself up).
