General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 27-Feb-2007

Hi Folks! Yahoo, it's time for Terry's Tuesdays! Get the mops out. Teardrops are soakin' the floor. What a sob-fest. Three story lines today; Alan kicks the bucket (sob), Jax comes back to Carly's infidelity (boo hoo), and Liz and Lucky get engaged (wail!)
So, the main event; Alan bites the dust and Jason misses it by minutes. Monica blames herself for Jason's timing. Edward blames himself for being a rotten dad. Ford explains Alan's death to Jason. Poor Jason is distraught. It's about as much emotion as we can expect from Stone Cold. He explains to the corpse how he wasn't there when his dad needed him. He goes on about how sorry he is, how he's going to be a father, all his regrets, he's filled with self-recrimination (get me a kleenex). Around the hospital, Dillon and Tracy make amends and she tells him she loves him. About as much emotion as we'll ever get from the old boot. Jason comforts Skye and tells her she's not to blame. Edward makes nice with Jason, and tells him to tell his child (if he ever has one) that he loves him/her, because "we all run out of time". Emily comforts Jason. Monica has a touching moment alone with Alan and says her tearful goodbye (I need another box of kleenex).
Carly runs to the door, thinking it's Sonny, and blurts out the awful truth. Carly tells the hostage tale, and tries to explain herself (Lucy! You got a lot of 'splaining to do!) (That's an I Love Lucy reference for you youngsters). So Jax is ready to walk when the boys come bounding down the stairs. He makes nice and has a pile of gifts in the car. Then he leaves, with issues unresolved. He just doesn't know.
Liz finds Lucky on the porch of the old Spencer place. They make up and get all gooshy with each other. Liz forgives him, she loves him, she wants to marry him, she trusts him (but not enough to spill the beans about the baby). It was the perfect moment, and she blew it. So she's going to walk down the aisle with that lie? Wait till she gets the ring before she spews? Oh, mama!
Monica comes home, in her scrubs, to an empty house. She's beside herself with grief. Jason shows up, and they have a tender hug moment. Nice ending. OK, I'm sitting under a mountain of used tissues now. Get me a shovel.
