The truth can set you free--or can it? Maxie will soon be learning if that's really true; Anthony discovers that taking a boat ride with his Venus really won't be a good idea in the long run; Connie comes out to play again--but hopefully in a controlled environment this time and Kate and Starr bond--right before Starr's arraignment. Busy, busy day in Port Charles!
Starting off in the courtroom, we see Spinelli telling the truth to Judge Lopez about how Matt, not Maxie, was the one who actually killed Lisa Niles.
Flashing over to Pentonville, Maxie is giving this news to a horrified Matt, who discovers that he was too drunk at the time to actually remember it!
Stunned, Matt realizes that Maxie is willing to give herself up for him, even if it means getting a black eye in Pentonville. He tells her that he can't let her take the fall for him.
Meanwhile, as Spinelli tells his story to the Judge, the DA doesn't want to let Maxie go on the basis of Spinelli's story. He does agree to drop her confession, only if Maxie signs a letter implicating Matt in the murder.
Spinelli convinces Felicia and Mac that he should be the one to take the letter to Maxie. Felicia thanks him for his loyalty to Maxie and Mac says that maybe he was too hard on him, as Spinelli has really come through for their family.
On to the Quartermaine Boathouse, where Tracy is fantasing just how she will off Anthony! There's a funny sequence where Tracy thinks about different ways to do the deed.
Back in real life, she sends Anthony out to put on his bathing suit and comes running after him with a paddle, when she's tackled by Luke! Bottom line is that he agrees to kill Anthony, but for a chunk of ELQ stock. The only problem is that Anthony overheard everything, oops!
Meanwhile, back at the courthouse, Starr and Kate are bonding before Starr's arraignment in Sonny's attempted murder.
Kate is horrified to realize that Connie could have been the one to actually shoot out Anthony's tires, making her responsible for Cole and Hope's deaths.
Unfortunately, the door to the room where she confided this to Alexis was left open, and Todd Manning heard everything!
He goes to Sonny and tells him that he will run headlines in his paper taking Kate off the hook and blaming Ewen for the crime if they can cut a deal.
Sonny blows him off, saying that Kate officially means nothing to him (even though he's paying for Alexis to defend her!)
Alexis tells Kate that they will have to interview Connie to figure out her involvement in this with another shrink.
Kate agrees and goes into an interrogation room by herself, where Connie is waiting for her in the mirror. Good luck, Kate!
And btw, Starr pled not guilty in her case, even though Todd was butting in every two minutes!
Will Kate finally deal with Connie? Will Spinelli bust Maxie out of Pentonville? Will Venus be freed from Anthony? Stay tuned!
