News for the week of 07-Apr-2014

by Carol Banks Weber

Co-producers Debbi Morgan (ex-Angie) and Ricky Paull Goldin (ex-Jake) put together a new MTV True Life documentary about “The Benjamins,” two brothers with autism. The documentary airs April 26, 7 p.m., in honor of World Autism Awareness Month.

Taylor Miller (ex-Nina) walked away from a lucrative career as a daytime leading lady in her prime to devote more time to her family. She became a Holistic Health coach in Chicago after discovering her son had rheumatoid arthritis. They pursued remedies, leading up to a much more natural, effective remedy in diet (removing eggs and whey) for starters. As she grew in her own personal education, Miller realized she could share what she went through to help others. Now, she gives talks to organizations all over, most recently at a Cancer Resource Centre for Northwest Indiana and the South suburbs of Chicago luncheon. A quick study at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, she said she “started this path in nutrition working with women in menopause with hormonal changes. I was fascinated by this industry and decided to branch out… Life gets better as you feel more alive. This is what my program is all about. But again! It's up to the individual [who] wants to change their life, no one can do it for you.” She conducts programs to better people’s lives, with a new session which started this month. –Soapdom/Inside the Bubble interview by Mark Edward Wilows, March 11, 2014

Thorsten Kaye (ex-Zach; Ridge, B&B) is one of the last hold-outs in social media. He feels no urgency in posting about what he’s doing or what he’s eating at the moment. “I also don’t think I’m interesting enough to waste anybody’s time!” He’s also not interested in Googling himself for the feedback, because of what he might find. “If you listen to people saying stuff, you’ve got to listen to all of it,” he said in an April 7th CBS Soaps in Depth. “Me, I just want to listen to the good stuff. So if you want to just send me the tweets that say how great I am, like from my mother and brother, fine. Otherwise, I’d rather not pay attention to all that.”

Colin Egglesfield (ex-Josh; Drop Dead Diva; Client List) got in trouble with the law in Arizona, March 29, for disorderly conduct and criminal damage. At least, those are the charges which caused his arrest. He allegedly messed with signs and barriers at the Tempe Festival for the Arts. He was released on a $1,000 bond shortly after having gone “ballistic,” according to the TMZ staff in an April 2, 2014 report.

Denyse Tontz (ex-Miranda, AMC 2.0) released her first music video for the song, “Use It,” on the YouTube Channel.
