News for the week of 20-Oct-2014

by Carol Banks Weber

Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) and Kimberly McCullough (Robin) debut their new TV pilot concept in a live staged reading October 30, 7:30 p.m., at North Hollywood’s Theatre 68. The sold-out stage reading of Hey Day features fellow cast mates Finola Hughes (Anna), Ian Buchanan (Duke), Nicolas Bechtel (Spencer), Brooklyn Rae Silzer (Emma), Lexi Ainsworth (ex-Kristina), Minae Noji (ex-Kelly), Ronnie Marmo (ex-Ronnie), and Linda Elena Tover (Rosalie), along with OLTL’s Bree Williamson (ex-Jessica). Everyone will stay behind for a Q&A. Christopher produces and McCullough wrote their new project. Hey Day is about a “naïve ingénue… thrust into the debaucherous on-screen/off-screen world of the daytime series, Doctors Of Romance.”

Donna Mills Reeves (Madeline) told KABC L.A.’s George Pennacchio in an October 14th interview that, while she loves the soap fans and returning to GH to her juicy story with a now awakened Phyllis, she definitely does not love the soap’s fast pace. “I hate the pace! [laughs] Are you kidding me? Who would like this? No, it's terrible! You have no chance to rehearse and feel it and get it and everything like that. It's all by the seat of your pants. I give all the actors who do it every single day a lot of credit, because it's hard!”

Anders Hove (Faison) returned to the set to film last Tuesday. His character will mess with the usual suspects.

GH celebrates a different aspect of the October holiday season in October 28th’s Beggars Night, featuring the children.
