One Life to Live Scoops & Spoilers
Previews for the week of 08-Mar-2010
by Carol Banks Weber
- John and Natalie fall into a passionate touch of their lips, despite sworn conviction to avoid that pitfall.
- Roxy determines—from the ample evidence before her—that Marty’s been knocked up by John.
- Roxy takes it upon herself to (ironically, given and maybe because of this woman’s myriad secrets involving paternity) direct Marty into full disclosure with John.
- Marty makes a clean breast of second-guessing John’s devotion, while discussing this issue with Roxy. Natalie can’t be ignored here.
- When Oliver Fish and John get to rapping about babies and sudden fatherhood, Marty happens by and leans in closer to get every word.
- John’s attitude concerns Marty and causes her to reevaluate whether she should say anything about her carrying a child of their own.
- Natalie stumbles upon a bit of info about Marty’s blossoming, but delicate, condition. She takes note of this fact, but neglects to bother Marty with it.
- Fighting feelings of covetousness, Natalie struggles to deal with the injustice of Marty’s with child but not her (with Jared’s).
- Marty carefully considers the impact of introducing a child into her strained relationship with John, and whether he’s even ready to be a parent.
- While Marty refrains from bursting with the news, Natalie’s not so restrained. Assuming Marty already updated John on the baby thing, she makes casual mention of it, as a “best wishes” to him.
- Bowled over and blindsided, John tackles this baby news with Marty directly.
- Fixing to get Blair’s goat, Todd casually tenders a position at The Sun … Kelly’s way.
- Kelly doesn’t exactly jump at the chance to work under Todd—to begin with.
- After quite a bit of nagging, Todd gets his way and gets his ambitious reporter Kelly.
- Kelly works on Todd to improve The Sun and evolve it from a tabloid into a legitimate news source, by toning down the vicious attacks and building up the human-interest angle.
- Blair won’t like Kelly and Todd’s new professional situation one bit.
- Todd makes out his ne’er-do-well daughter Danielle cutting class in school.
- Danielle looks right through Todd, trying to jump through flaming hoops for her.
- Clint transmits to Bo and Nora that he will make Kim his wife soon.
- Nothing like a new woman to mend fences for Bo and Clint.
- Viki means to employ Tea to handle divorce proceedings.
- Dorian entreats Viki to have mercy on Charlie and take him back.
- Dorian’s entreaty makes an emotional dent in Viki, who ultimately postpones the divorce in favor of checking up on things in London.
- Viki lets Charlie know of her travel itinerary and of her postponing perhaps the inevitable.
- Gigi asserts her intention to lawyer up, go to court and fight tooth and nail to obtain sole custody of Stacy’s baby.
- Gigi receives legal recourse to take over as Sierra Rose’s parent.
- Unaware of what has just transpired, Schuyler and Rachel cozy up their pad, readying it for an infant.
- Gigi’s plans to take Stacy’s baby away from him has Schuyler in a tizzy.
- Rachel and Greg have a row about Schuyler.
- The smartest move Schuyler makes next is to lawyer up with Tea.
- Kyle notifies his boyfriend Oliver Fish about having procured a DNA result between him and Stacy’s baby, Sierra Rose.
- Kyle’s sneaky actions leave Fish beside himself.
- Gigi’s custody situation causes Fish to reconsider getting rid of the results of the DNA result.
- Fish prevents Kyle from going through with trashing the results before they are viewed.
- Fish stalls in reviewing those DNA results, mostly—he conveys to Kyle—because he needs to fully absorb the chance that he’s Sierra Rose’s biological dad first.
- With Fish’s okay, Kyle goes ahead and safely stashes the DNA results – until they’re ready for ‘em.
- The law decrees that Schuyler should legally be allowed to parent Sierra Rose. Loser=Gigi.
- By law, Gigi must submit the baby to Schuyler, whom she hates now as a stalker nutbar.
- Rex guarantees to Gigi that she will ultimately retain custody.
- Rex bullies Schuyler into doing what’s right, let Gigi have Stacy’s baby.
- Clint gets to brass tacks with Kim; if she wants to be his wife, she must tow certain lines.
- Kim swallows any fears, puts her John Hancock on the prenup, then walks down the aisle to be Clint’s wife.
- Having Jessica moon after him in a class he teaches agitates Cristian enough for him to have Viki and Clint deal with it.
- Viki and Clint promptly consult with Marty on what to do with Jessica.
- It’s not quite polite when Layla gets a hold of trifling Jessica.
- Layla’s no fool; she knows very well that Jessica could do romantic damage to her and Cristian.
- Layla goes over the Jessica factor with Brody.
- Jessica casually sifts through keepsakes from Brody (designed to jar her memory), but it’s like going over stuff from strangers.
- However, Jessica does consider a similar gesture to court Cris.
- Markko comes close to busting Langston all over Ford.
- Langston conceals her lustful actions with Ford, so that Markko is none the wiser.
- Cole comes across a seemingly lifeless Hannah. He deduces she may have self-medicated too far.
- Once recovered, Hannah comes clean with Cole about having done something stupid because of hurt over a boy’s rejection.
- In conversing with Mitch, Allison brings up Sierra Rose in an obscure fashion.
- Wacky Allison undertakes a mammoth assignment, for her Lord Mitch Laurence.
- Mitch rallies Allison for an eye-opening outcome.
- Next week: Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Llanview. Residents acknowledge this Irish celebration… While Viki’s away (in London), Dorian starts looking more and more appealing to Charlie… Marty endures a miscarriage… Bo and Nora put in a concerted effort to improve their own existence… Looks like maybe Cristian never truly moved on after Jessica after all… Layla starts pursuing someone other than Cristian… The drama may stress and toil, but it also gives Rex and Gigi something greater to focus on, and manages to strengthen them as a couple. An unexpected recommendation is thrown their way, btw… Well, well. It turns out Oliver Fish does have a real stake in Sierra Rose’s custody battle. He has to find it in himself to triumph over the others, to be a real dad here… Kyle thinks positive thoughts. This could work out… Schuyler and Rex will reel over what’s really occurred… Then, throw in Mitch Laurence changing his mind about using Sierra Rose in this battle of good and evil, and you have quite a war on your hands… Allison dutifully, merrily does as she’s told (by Mitch)… There could be an abduction for Schuyler, Fish and Gigi to deal with when Sierra Rose goes missing… Kim packs up and goes away… Hello again, Ross… Rachel and Greg suffer a fatal blow to their relationship… Matthew finds himself in the middle of a tug of war between Danielle and Destiny… Hannah fixes on stealing Cole from Starr… Langston is a bad, bad girl. It’ll hurt Starr and Markko a lot… It’s time for another musical within a soap opera, featuring the teens.
